May we choose KINDNESS

I do declare today’s word is KINDNESS

I remember I was taught way back in grade school
To treat others with respect and live by the golden rule.
A refresher course for humanity is definitely in need
With a revival of morals and manners, we’re bound to succeed.
I aim to choose KINDNESS as a daily lifestyle
Though I can lose my temper, once in a while.
Better slow down to react in a most cordial way
And express a smile in a friendly display.
This ought to help for a positive response
KINDNESS for our planet…let’s start a renaissance!
It doesn’t take a scholar to know what most people desire
Be a light to others, aim higher and be a pacifier.

May we choose KINDNESS

Blessings y’all
Peace & love

  1. Lovely sentiment. So nice to remember your Mom. Love, Other Joan

  2. Nicely said Queenie!

  3. I love the cross stitch. A practical item, made beautiful by a woman’s artistic eye and handiwork. Chosen to bring some sunshine color into the home? to celebrate nature?. Women, remember, as well as care givers, and home makers,
    you are also artists. xo

    • Thanks Maurya for your inquisitive comment. Mom was prolific with all her needle works. Her artistic eye brings colorful, creative, comfort throughout home. Come for a visit someday…you’ll be amazed!

Kindness and caring was always present in your home when we wee growing up. There were no better neighbors than the Golds. I just put on my bee earrings in honor of your mom and her needlepoint. Much to you and all the family.

    • Thanks dearest Ginger…& thank goodness for those good ole days sharing next door kindness and delicious treats with the Steeles. Plus freedom to play away the hours. Miss you SO!

  6. Lovely Joan.
Practice kindness. Dalai Lama always says, “My religion is kindness.”
    I agree!
